Hiranmaye Energy Limited ( formerly India Power Corporation (Haldia) Limited) was set yo for developing a coal-based power plant of 450 MW ( 3 X 150 MW) at Haldia to cater to the power requirement of the state of West Bengal.

 

With the state government's continuous support private investment has and encouraged in the power sectoir and to meet the ever increasing industrial & domestic power demand of the state. The power project is in the final stages of construction with one of the three units already commissioned.

 

Further in future HEL shall also be able to provide/sell surplus power to several other large and medium scale industries at Haldia & Outside.
